Troubleshooting HD-1000S

Measurement seems wrong.
Monitor keeps reinflating.
Unable to take a measurement after receiving error.

Err 1

Monitor may have been inflated without the cuff around the arm. Or, the cuff may not be positioned correctly on the arm (see Applying The Cuff).

Err 2

The cuff tube may be folded. Or, you may have moved while the cuff was inflating, and it is now attempting to reinflate. Check the cuff for any kinks in the tubing (see Before Taking The Measurement).

Err 3

You may have moved or spoken during the measurement process. Remember that it is important to not move or speak while taking a measurement.

Err 4

You may have been startled by a noise or vibration while measuring. Make sure you are in a quiet and comfortable place when taking a measurement.

Err 5

You have been ignoring the flashing replace battery symbol (

). Change them quickly so you may continue to measure your blood pressure without any interruptions.

The batteries have run low. Change them quickly so you may continue to measure your blood without any interruptions.

Measurement seems wrong.

Cuff may be positioned too high or too low on the arm (see Applying the Cuff).

The monitor keeps reinflating.

You may have moved during inflation. Or, if you have a very weak pulse, the monitor may continue to reinflate until it senses your pulse. Relax for a few minutes then take a measurement.

Unable to take a measurement after receiving an error symbol.

The cuff may not be positioned correctly (see Applying The Cuff).
