Why the measurement is sometimes too High or too Low?
It could be that your temperature is in fact too high or too low, so you should see your doctor.
However, there are some factors that may cause high or low readings. Please check the following:
- Is the lens damaged?
- Is the thermometer damaged?
- Is measurement done properly?
- Is the measurement done after bathing, exercising, changing clothing, exposure to extreme ambient temperature, etc? Allow 30 minutes for your body temperature to stabilize after such activities before taking your temperature.
- Is the Ear canal clean enough? (Ear wax will influence the measurement result.)
- Is the Ear thermometer probe clean enough? (If users don’t clean their ear canal, the ear wax in ear canal will get onto the ear thermometer probe during the measurement. This will typically cause a lower measurement result.)
We suggest that users clean the ear probe after each measurement with 70% concentration alcohol and cotton swab. (Please refer to cleaning instruction.)
