Will the measurement result be influenced by the temperature of the environment?

Yes, temperature does affect readings. However, Healthy Living® Ear Thermometer is suitable in an ambient temperature between 50°F~104°F (10°C~40°C), and if used within that ambient temperature, the measurement result will not be influenced.

However, the human body temperature will be different in summer or winter. Also, after doing exercise or taking a shower, the body temperature will be higher than the normal. Also, when the Ear thermometer is brought from a room with air-conditioning to a room without air-conditioning, there will be a rapid change of ambient temperature and the ear thermometer needs time to stabilize. We suggest that users put the Ear thermometer on the table for around 20 minutes in such case to adapt to the ambient temperature. Then, the Ear thermometer will be able to do the correct temperature measurement.
